A stuttering awareness movement born from one kid's courage to show up, speak up, and sing his voice free.
Landon lives with a severe stutter. Every day, he navigates a world built for fluent speakers, phone calls, class presentations, ordering food, conversations that don't wait. Most people don't understand what that takes.
But here's what the world needs to see: Landon doesn't hide. He doesn't shrink. He shows up, confident, friendly, and fearless.
And when he sings? The stutter vanishes. Science tells us singing engages the right hemisphere of the brain, bypassing the disruptions that cause stuttering. For Landon, singing is where his voice runs free, where he proves his voice was never broken. It just moves differently.
Why this matters beyond Lando: Over 70 million people worldwide stutter. Most suffer in silence, afraid to raise their hand, make a phone call, or introduce themselves. When Lando shows up publicly and speaks anyway, every stutterer watching sees themselves. When this community funds his therapy, shares his story, and wears the message, we're telling the world that stuttering doesn't disqualify you from being heard.
This isn't just about one kid finding fluency. It's about building a world where patience replaces pressure, where listening replaces interrupting, and where 70 million voices know they're not alone.
Our 20,000+ people reached spoke, and we listened. The community's #1 request: get Lando into HCRI's world-renowned 12-day stuttering therapy program in Roanoke, VA. Track our progress and join the mission.
Speaking primarily uses the left hemisphere. Singing engages the right hemisphere, bypassing the neural disruptions that cause stuttering. When Landon sings, his brain lights up differently, and his voice runs free. This isn't magic. It's neuroscience. And it's the heartbeat of everything we do.
Phone menus, customer service lines, voice-activated systems, the world assumes everyone can speak fluidly on a call. Many people who stutter can't.
Siri, Alexa, and Google don't wait. Voice assistants time out, misinterpret, or disconnect when speech patterns don't match expectations.
Raising your hand in class, presenting a project, speaking in meetings, these ordinary moments become extraordinary challenges.
Drive-throughs, restaurants, coffee shops, ordering food requires fast, clear speech. Many people who stutter avoid these situations entirely.
Children who stutter are more likely to be rejected by peers and less likely to be seen as popular. Awareness changes this.
The single most powerful thing you can do: wait. Don't finish their sentences. Don't look away. Just wait. Their words are worth it.
Every piece is a walking billboard for stuttering awareness. When you wear it, you carry Lando's message. You become the movement.
There's no wrong way to support this journey. Whether you give a dollar, wear the message, or simply share Lando's story, you become the movement.
100% of donations go directly the community stutter awareness journey. We're establishing a nonprofit to keep every dollar transparent and every goal community-driven.
When our community speaks, we listen. The overwhelming request: get Lando into HCRI's Hollins Fluency System, a 12-day intensive stuttering therapy program at Hollins Communications Research Institute in Roanoke, Virginia. It's one of the most respected stuttering treatment programs in the world, with a 93% fluency achievement rate and 75% retention two years later.
HCRI's science-based program teaches participants to replace the muscle movements that cause stuttering with new behaviors that generate fluent speech. For Lando, this isn't just therapy, it's a chance at a life where ordering food, answering a phone, and raising his hand in class don't feel like a battle. The $7,500 goal covers the therapy program ($4,500), 12 nights of lodging, travel, meals, and the production of content so the entire stuttering community follows Lando's journey from day 1 through day 12.
This is what community-funded awareness looks like: you research, you recommend, you fund, Lando goes, and brings the whole community with him.
Donate Now#StutterFreeLando runs on revolving community goals, experiences researched, recommended, and funded by our supporters. When the community speaks, Lando goes. Every goal creates real content that the stuttering community can see themselves in. HCRI is Goal #1, chosen by YOU. Every completed goal unlocks the next one, and the community decides what comes next.
We're in the process of establishing a nonprofit organization dedicated to Lando's journey to fluency, so every dollar is transparent, every goal is community-driven, and every experience builds toward changing how the world treats people who stutter.
